LAHTI PRO PROLINE MEGA TRYTON VULCAN Technical informations PAGE WWW.PROFIX.COM.PL 194 * Gripping section of many glove models of the Lahti Pro brand that are made of synthetic leather is equipped with numerous PVC reinforcement inserts, non-slip silicone mesh, etc., significantly improving the glove properties. Information in the table above apply to synthetic leather only and hence makes no allowance for the properties of additional materials. Note: The table above constitutes illustrative comparison of the properties characteristic for the specific types of coatings/gripping sections of the gloves. The properties of the coating/gripping section may differ, depending on the glove model. Coating properties Type of coating/gripping section of the glove Synthetic leather * Natural leather Latex Nitrile Polyurethane (PU) PVC Elasticity Non-slip properties Gripping (touch of the held object) Abrasion resistance Tear resistance Puncture resistance Resistance to water and derived substances Resistance to greases and oils Hydrocarbon resistance Resistance to washing agents and detergents Resistance to ketone solvents Very low Low Medium High Very high Type of fabric, from which the gloves should be made Properties of thematerials, fromwhich the coating/gripping sections of the glove aremade The table below presents the main advantages of the specific fabrics used for production of protective gloves. Type of fabric Advantages Polyester Possibility of mixing with cotton to increase the comfort of use Penetration resistant Strong and durable Fast-drying Resistant to abrasion and stretching Elastic Cotton Highly breathable, not stopping the heat transfer Absorbs sweat Soft to the touch (high comfort of use) No static electricity Abrasion resistant Nylon Strong and durable Penetration resistant Very resistant to abra - sion and stretching Elastic Resistant to oils, fat and petrol Acrylic Provides excellent protection against cold Resistant to abrasion and stretching Soft to the touch (high comfort of use) Oil resistant Penetration resistant Modified synthetic fibre Highly resistant to cuts Penetration resistant Very resistant to abra - sion and stretching Elastic NITRILE-COATED GLOVES Nitrile, from which the gloves of the Lahti Pro brand are made, is a synthetic rubber mixture, composed of acrylonitrile and butadiene that contains no latex proteins. Combination of these two ingredients produces a flexible material that is very resistant to abrasion, at the same time providing excellent resistance to unleaded petrol, diesel oil, hexane and paraffin. It also provides ideal protection against oils and greases. Nitrile-coated gloves are often used in transportation and automotive industry, as well as in agriculture and gardening. They are also an excellent alternative for latexsensitive individuals. POLYURETHANE-COATED GLOVES (PU) Polyurethane is a material with very high flexibility and great resistance to abrasion and tear. Thanks to such properties it is perfect for production of gloves with a thin and simultaneously very resistant coating. Polyurethane-coated gloves provide their users with excellent dexterity and touch of a held object, ensuring great performance during works that require high precision, amongst others. These gloves are often used e.g. by mechanics, warehousemen, as well as household owners. PVC-COATED GLOVES PVC-coated gloves are characterised by excellent resistance to greases, oils, fats, mild cleaning agents, as well as water, also providing relatively good performance in low temperatures. They become applicable in many sectors, including automotive, agriculture and transportation.
